Dear Jewels & Gems,
Weekly Content/Objectives /Ways to Help At Home
I hope everyone enjoyed their
springbreak. I had a chance to visit
Reading
Miramar Beach, FL for the week. We had Genre: Informational Texts
pretty nice weather until the last 2 days. Essential Question: How do plants grow and change?
I can’t wait to hear from all my Jewels
Text: From Seed to Plant and Super Soil
about their break during sharing this
Skills- Text and Graphic Features & Cause and Effect
week.
Strategy- Monitor/Clarify
I am sending home notices about our
upcoming field trip to The Redbirds
Game. So sorry for the short notice.
Money is due this coming Friday, April
1st. An order envelope for our class tshirt for field day went home some time
ago. I am sending reminder envelopes for
Jewels who have not returned them. The
due date to order is next Friday, April
8th. Please send fieldtrip notice and Field
Day T-shirt envelopes with money by
deadlines noted on sheet/envelope.
We began practicing for SAT10,
our annual Standardized Test, today.
The test is scheduled for Tuesday, April
26th- 29th. We will be doing more in class
practice, and at some point, I will be
sending SAT10 homework packets.
This is the last 9 weeks of the
school year, so please stress the
importance of completing all assignments
in timely manner. In preparation for our
annual assessment in April, it is
imperative that your Jewel is listening
and following directions, focused, and
on task at all times.
Please ask your Jewels daily
about their work. The agenda book has
the assigned homework, however, if they
do not complete classwork, they are
expected to take home as homework and
return the next day.
Special Note: When students are not
turning in work, their grades are affected. In
some cases, they are given opportunities to
rework for a better grade. I will have students
complete work during recess or send to office
