Trip Notice: Next week on Wednesday morning we will be visiting the Savoy Theatre to watch the film Swallows and
Amazons The Savoy will, over the next few weeks be allowing our children to go behind the scenes, into the
projection room and even produce our own screening of the films we are currently making. There is a one-off charge
for the film of £3.50 although the following sessions will not incur a charge. Please return the
completed permission form if you wish your child to go.

We have the opportunity to take both year 5 and year 6 children to the Savoy Theatre on
Wednesday 21st September to watch a screening of the current new film Swallows and Amazons.
The cost will be £3.50 per child. The children may bring a small drink and a single snack if they so
wish.
This fits in with Year 6 topic of ‘At the Movies’ and the Year 5 topic of ‘survival.’ The film although
suitable for the Y5/Y6 children is rated PG so we will require a completed permission slip along
side the payment if you would like your child to go. We believe that this will be an enjoyable and
memorable occasion, which will help discussion and follow-up class activities on returning to
school.
All children will be back at school before lunchtime so no special lunch-time arrangements will be
needed.
