YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
To ensure the appropriate management of all stocks (raw materials, semi-finished goods,
packaging material & finished goods) at the production site in Nigel, Paarl, DSV as well
as the tollers with close monitoring of all slow movers, close to expiry and reductant
stocks.
To provide information to the organisation and challenge the related areas with regards to
stock management.
Major Tasks and Responsibilities
Inventory management – Regular reporting of all stocks (Raw materials, packaging
materials, intermediates and finished goods) in SAP, this includes monitoring slow
moving stocks, expired and close-to expiring stock, as well as blocked stocks. Manage
the analysis and follow up of all issues with regards to stocks. This includes stocks at
Nigel site and Paarl site as well as stocks at DSV. This also includes stocks
reconciliations between DSV & Nigel.
Information sharing - Make information available to stakeholders regarding Stock on hand,
Back Orders and product availability in case of stock outs.
Managing Toll customer reporting and feedback. This includes materials forecasting as well
as material requirements monitoring and final production usages reporting
Analyse and determine demands for Intercompany transactional purchasing as well as
creation and maintenance of such orders, to ensure that the correct purchase orders are

placed in our local system as well as in PBC Global system, relevant to the approved
sales forecast by checking the purchase requisitions, constantly monitoring the
outstanding order pipeline and implementing changes when need be in close liaison with
the Forecast Manager. To manage inbound supply tracking in close liaison with the
Imports Controller (import shipping register), register excess stock on the International
excess stock list when required, align cost allocation for orders delayed by Global SC and
interface with Global SC where required. Be a backup for the Imports Controllers
Support in all required reporting, interface between materials supply to production and
feedback to all relevant parties.
WHO YOU ARE
Qualifications:
Matric Certificate
Diploma or Degree in business related topics would be beneficial
Experience:
At least 5 years ‘ experience in a Logistics environment
3 years hands on experience in relevant SAP modules (MRP, Inventory and
Purchasing)
SAP: excellent knowledge especially of Material Requirements Planning
(Materials forecast & MRP), Inventory Management and Purchasing.
Good communication and people skills to interact with internal and external
customers.
Good understanding of accounting practices.
Knowledge of South African and Port Health regulations.
Understanding of the transportation regulations.
Ability to solve problems and make decisions.
Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing requirements on a regular basis
Ability to work under pressure with tight timelines.
Advanced knowledge in MS Excel; MS Word and MS PowerPoint an advantage.
