Call for Poster Proposals
The 14th Northwest Council on Family Relations (NWCFR) Conference will be held in conjunction with the
Northwest Parenting and Family Education Conference (NWPFE). Please register separately for each.
Proposals of family-related teaching or research topics will be considered. All presentations will be in poster
format, and the session will be informal and interactive in nature. Previously presented studies are acceptable.
Email your 1-2 page proposal along with a cover sheet that includes author name(s), institution, postal address,
and email address by February 5, 2010 to Harriet Shaklee at [email protected]. Proposals will be blind
peer reviewed on the basis of clarity, relevance, and evidence of participant involvement. Notice of acceptance
will be sent by February 19, 2010.
Certification for Family Life Educators (CFLE)
Application for .4 CEUs for CFLEs is under review with NCFR for the NWCFR poster session.
Application for CEUs for CFLEs is under review with NCFR for the NWPFE Conference
Student Poster Awards
Two student poster awards will be granted for best undergraduate and graduate research. Posters will be
evaluated by NWCFR members and the winning presenters will be awarded $100. See “Student Poster”
announcement for details.

Registration fees for NWCFR and NWPFE conferences are separate. Send registration fee for the NWCFR

NWCFR Conference Schedule 3/15
Registration and poster setup is from 8:00–9:00 a.m. The conference will open at 9:00 a.m. Poster
presentations with question and answer period will follow. Lunch, featuring our guest speaker, will be served at
11:30 a.m.

The conference will be held at the Washington State University Vancouver campus. Rooms at the nearby
