You must choose which party you are voting in for presidential preference. If you are using the
touch screen voting equipment once you choose your party you are given the list of candidates in
that party and can choose one (or write in one). If you are using the paper plus scanner ballot you
should choose a party first. If you choose Democratic any marks for a Republican will be
ignored. The touch screen system prevents this mistake.

Select the party primary in which you wist to participate. Then select one candidate from within
that party. There are two races that are non-partisan. Your presidential preference has no impact
on these races.
