Suggested List Of Supplies, 2016-2017
Note:
Our School provides basic school supplies (not including mats, towels, school supply boxes, backpacks, spiral notebooks,
pencil bags, folders, subject dividers, or graph paper). Parents providing all of the below suggested supplies will enhance
their child’s organizational ability, convenience, and/or comfort; however, parents should not feel required to provide
anything since basic supplies are provided.
KINDERGARTEN
5 boxes of 24 Crayola brand crayons
*Specified Brands – When BRANDS are
12 pack of Crayola brand color pencils (primary colors)
specified, it is what is preferred because
4 jumbo glue sticks
we have found that other brands are of
1 bottle of Elmers Glue (liquid)
poorer quality.
2 Prang* or Crayola* watercolor set (other colors are not as vibrant)
1 pair metal, round-tip Fiskar* scissors (no substitutes, please, as many others don’t cut well)
4 oblong pink erasers
2 HARD PLASTIC folders (with pockets on bottom ; prongs are not required; folders need to be sturdy enough to last ½ school year)
1 regular size backpack (NO MINI AND NO ROLLING BACKPACKS, PLEASE!)
1 regular school box for supplies (hard plastic); please, no zipper boxes or pouches

FIRST GRADE
1 box of 16 crayons (new box each nine weeks)
8 jumbo glue sticks (new each nine weeks; no small glue sticks)
1 Fiskars scissor (round-tip)
5 #2 pencils (5 new pencils each nine weeks)
4 Expo dry erase markers
2 pink eraser (new one each nine weeks)
1 small plastic school supply box
2 reams of copy paper
$2.00 for Primary Composition Books (KHE will purchase)
1 large backpack for papers going between school and home (NO ROLLING BACKPACKS, PLEASE!)
1 plastic two-pocket folder (no prongs)
1 bix if tussyesm 1 Clorox wipes / baby wipes
* NO markers, pens, paints, paper, trapper keepers, hand sharpeners, or toy erasers, please

SECOND GRADE

4 two-pocket folders for transporting homework

*A backpack would make it easier for your chiold to transport items to and from school.

*Parents, please separate crayons, glue sticks, erasers, pencils, and scissors into the two pencil pouches. One will stay in the First
Period Class and the other in the Second Period Class.
