Be like the Europa-Park
and cut your water and energy costs
It has even been scientifically proven just how easy it is to save water with Hansgrohe
through a unique co-operation project involving the Europa-Park and Offenburg
University of Applied Sciences.
The mixers and showers in the bathrooms of the Park’s Hotel Santa Isabel were fitted with
Hansgrohe’s environmentally friendly EcoSmart technology and its water and energy
consumption recorded. The result: water consumption dropped by around 32 % per
overnight stay. Energy costs were saved because less water was heated. Thanks to
the associated cost savings the upgrade had already paid for itself after approximately
2½ years.*

Inefficient mixer taps and showers are often the reason for excessive consumption of
water and energy. Hansgrohe mixers and showers with EcoSmart technology, however,
use up to 60 % less water than other products. And less energy is required for heating

An ingenious flow rate regulator, special spray jets and the addition of air make it possible. Hansgrohe Raindance EcoSmart
hand showers use only 9 litres of water per minute – and the Crometta 85 Green overhead and hand showers just 6 litres,
regardless of your water pressure. That’s because the in-built precision components respond flexibly to the water pressure to
keep the volume of water constant. The benefit to you: depending on how economical your current fitting is, your daily water
consumption can be cut by up to 60 %.

How you can cut costs with EcoSmart mixers
Most washstand mixers consume around 13 litres of water a minute. With Hansgrohe mixers, EcoSmart reduces water
consumption to around 5 litres per minute – whilst providing a full, soft water jet. And how does it do it? By adding air,
and thanks to the integrated EcoSmart system, which keeps the water flow at a constant 5 l/min even with fluctuating
water pressures. It also helps to save energy and costs because less water has to be heated.
