JM– 2009/05/13
Grafenberg, 14.05.2009 – Whenever light weight and mechanical toughness are
required, light weight construction is the key topic. The demand in this area is
steadily on the increase. For the first time RAMPF Tooling will showcase innovative
solutions in combination with high quality model, mold and tool building materials for
light weight construction. These will be presented together with some of RAMPF
Tooling’s top-class partners at this year’s trade fair Composites Europe, Stuttgart.
The material specialist, based in Grafenberg, offers a comprehensive, modern and
balanced product portfolio of liquid materials, pastes and boards designed for model
and mold building.
The decision to participate in this exhibition has been taken because the composites area demands highly productive molds and models. The requirements in this
segment are especially demanding as the composite parts have to meet specific
criteria regarding toughness and low weight. Furthermore the high user standards
also have to be met. RAMPF Tooling offers the effective materials, important knowhow and outstanding service to meet these various requirements.
At Composites Europe 2009 RAMPF and some of its partners will present complete
package solutions around the different production processes in the composites area. On display will be high performance casting systems, gelcoats and epoxy and
polyurethane boards with the corresponding adhesives and repair pastes. The
seamless Close Contour Casting for the production of lay-up tools and galvano bath
models for composite parts will also be presented as well as composite laminating
systems with low viscosities and high temperature resistance for resin infusion.
In a nutshell, RAMPF Tooling will show its comprehensive portfolio of solutions for
model and mold building in the area of light weight construction emphasizing the
different production processes and corresponding material choices holistically.

Subsequent to Composites Europe 2009, RAMPF Tooling invites customers and
partner to its Open House in Grafenberg on 30th October 2009. The reason for
holding this event is the opening of the new technology center which will offer more
space for laboratory and development work. Furthermore the service area has been
expanded for material testing and to satisfy customer orders for complete paste
applications.
Know-how transfer is important factor in Tooling and the Tooling Technology Center
now provides even more space to train customers individually. It offers scope to try
and learn about the applications of different materials as well as new technologies
and processes.
During its Open House the material specialist will open its showroom where interesting sample parts are on display, e.g. a complete SLK model. Likewise there will
be a number of live material demonstrations scheduled.
RAMPF Tooling is also presenting its know-how online. The internet based RAKUTOOL Scout offers the possibility to discover various application industries and
build-up methods and gives very detailed information on the whole product portfolio.
