Dear Colleagues and Friends,
Welcome to our 37th joint international meeting in Norway.
The following information will give you an update on the venue, program and further information.
Venue / Travel details
The entire programme, will take place on Panorama Hotell & Resort outside Bergen, Norway. Please
visit their website (https://www.panoramahotell.no/en/) to learn more of the location and
accomodation.
We will arrange for transport (by bus) from Flesland airport at 1300 on Mon May 29th. The bus ride will
take approx. 1 h. We will arrange the return transport by bus on Wed May 31st.
Please recognize that the hotel is located about 40 km outside Bergen. While transport by public bus
is possible (please visit the website for further info) it will be time consuming and require a number of
transfers. A taxi from downtown Bergen will cost approx. NOK 900 at daytime and NOK 1100 in the
evening.
There is a parking area available in case you decide to travel by car.
Accomodation:
We have made arrangements for a block booking of a limited number of rooms. The conference fee is
included in the room tariff.
Price per room for one persons is NOK 5 750,- incl. all meals (Approx EUR 620,-)

Conference and programme:
The Symposium on May 30th and the Joint Meeting on May 31st will take place in the main conference
room. The Sectoral Meetings will take place in smaller group rooms.
We will approach some of you to contribute with factual information regarding national policy for
exercise testing of off-shore personnel (See Section II on Tue May 30th ).
The programme has been prepared by a programme committee with these members: Johan Glas
(Norske Shell), Atle Houg Ringheim (Statoil), Jan Risberg (NUI, Chair) and Kjetil Todnem (Total E&P).

The conference fee is included in the room charge listed above.

Prehospital whole blood transfusion. Christopher Bjerkvig, Haukeland

Exercise testing for offshore personnel. It is recognized that nations have
different practice concerning exercise testing of subgroups of offshore
personnel (e.g. firefighters, paramedics, rescue personnel). The topic will be
covered by an introductory lecture Andreas Møllerløkken from the Norwegian
University of Technology and Science in Trondheim. This will be followed by
national presentations from representatives from each participating nation.
After this, a plenary discussion will take place discussing whether there is a
need for harmonization. The overall scope is to identify the scientific basis,
relevance and validity of the exercise tests presently deployed.
