EAGCC MATCHDAY POLICY
The aim of this document is to provide current and future Club Captains with the information and
procedures they need to carry out on match day. Completing these duties will ensure the reputation
of the club will be upheld, as well as sharing the responsibilities around the playing members.
The Captain and Vice-Captain will oversee the roles below and will help out where required, both
before and after the game.
The Captain will be responsible for unlocking/locking the clubhouse (including setting the alarm) as
the first to arrive and last person to leave (Unless he/she delegates this for any reason to another
key holder well in advance).
PRE-MATCH TEAMSHEET
During the team selection, the Captain/VC should assign the following roles…
Delegate Tea
Captain/VC should assign one player per home match to supply and prepare tea. Tea Policy is
available here. Captains should keep note of squad members who have/haven’t fulfilled this role.
Delegate Match Fee Collector
This will be the Vice-Captain’s role. A Team Sheet will be provided by the Captain of who the
relevant members in the team are who need to pay match fees. The Captain will ask for these details
from a member of the Finance Committee.
