Hop aboard the Ticonderoga steamship that once plied the waters of Lake Champlain, ride the circus carousel, and view the special Grandma Moses traveling collection of paintings by Anna Mary Robertson (1860‐1961) on loan from the Bennington Museum. Our visit will begin at the Pizzigalli Visitor Center for Art and Education. We’ll meet back at the museum entrance at 2:30 p.m. for the trip home, giving us a full three hours to explore the exhibits and buildings, and enjoy a bite to eat. This is a favorite event for all who love to sample the fresh flavors of late summer and early fall! Roam from table to table, nibbling on cheeses and old varieties of apples. Take a tour of the orchard, stroll through the heirloom gardens, and visit the 21 rooms of local history exhibits in the Museum building, which was a student dormitory in its earlier years. Taste fresh cider from the press, and enjoy a delicious lunch on your own from the food vendors at the festival. What a fun way to spend a Sunday afternoon!
