Theatre Builds Character
Our 2016-2017 school year programs
offered this year underscore
the values of character and education.




It takes courage highlights amazing figures
in history who overcame great obstacles.
This program teaches students the power
within ourselves. Famous Americans
celebrated are from Helen Keller &
Franklin D. Roosevelt to Justin Timberlake
& Bill Gates.
Flight is a wonder ful educational r omp
through the history of physics showing how
the Wright Brothers perseverance achieved
flight.
Heroes of the Underground Railroad
inspires young audiences with stories of
every day Americans who stood up for their
beliefs. Join Harriet Tubman, Levi Coffin,
Henry “Box” Brown, John Parker and more
in an empowering look at the figures behind
the Underground Railroad.
Charlotte's Web, is based on E.B White’s
loving story of friendship between a pig
named Wilbur and Charlotte, a little gray
spider.
Our Mission Statement:
“To sponsor a wide variety of events in
music, theatre, dance, and the visual arts:
to develop community
understanding of the arts;
and to educate as well as entertain.”

Young people are our future…
Claremont Opera House is proud to encourage and
foster theatre programs which involve youth in the
community be it Stevens High School, The
Repertory Theatre Company, Sean Roberts’ World
Under Wonder shows and workshops, or
Claremont Elementary School Drama Festivals.
We have been privileged to witness the character
building that develops through these programs.
While honing their acting skills, students learn to
be accepting of everyone, however different..
And….the adults involved in these programs learn
from the students as well.
