Accessory TMP-SET for controlling water temperature with REG and DAQ instruments
LIST OF PARTS
1) Submersible Eheim pump
2) Soft PVC tubing, ID10mm, 5m
3) Stainless steel cooling coil
SETUP
Place the pump in a tank or pump sump and connect to the
coil using the tubing. Then place the coil in a cooler/heater
and use a second piece of tubing to return the water to the tank/sump.
Finally, connect the pump to the proper instrument digital
relay socket using an adapter cable or spare connector.
Figure 1. Example of setup – when water in the tank is
heated to above setpoint due to high room temperature, the
instrument relay activates the pump to start pumping water
through the heat-exchanging steel coil immersed in a
refrigerated water bath. When the setpoint value plus the
hysteresis value is reached, the relay will turn off the pump
and keep water temperature stable in this way.
