Shady Grove Elementary School

George H. Moody Middle School
Dear Moody Parents,
In May, the Moody PTA will elect the new PTA Board members for the 2014-2015
school year. Attached, for your review, is a listing of all open elected PTA Executive
Board positions with job descriptions, a listing of all open Standing Committee positions
with job descriptions, and a PTA Board Nomination Form. All Executive Board
positions and Committee chairs are open to anyone interested.
We would like to see our school represented by the many different grade levels,
backgrounds, and communities making up Moody Middle School. Moms AND DADS,
please consider a leadership role in our school’s PTA. Please know that middle school
PTA responsibilities can easily be done by working parents in a reasonable amount of
time. And if you would like, ask a friend to share a position with you, most of our
positions can be filled by a team. It is a fun and rewarding volunteer opportunity!
If you are interested, please fill out the PTA Board Nomination Form indicating which
position you are interested in. If you are considering more than one position, please mark
the positions in ranking order, with #1 being your first choice.
Also, if you know of someone who would be perfect for a position and would like to
nominate that person, please fill out a PTA Board Nomination Form with their name and
the position you are nominating them for and indicate that it is a third-party nomination.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact a member of the PTA
Nominating Committee.
Please return your PTA Board Nomination Form by e-mail to one of the Nominating
Committee members listed below. Nomination Forms must be received by Friday, April
11. The PTA Nominating Committee will be meeting after this date to determine how to
best fill the open positions.
Thank you!
