Bright colors are great on country roads for higher visibility.

 Avoid lines for registration
 No lines for parking
 Get your photo taken with the Headless Horseman
 You have to get up early anyway, so why not?
 Work on your dance moves for the Thriller video
NEVER BEEN TO BONNEYVILLE MILL?
This is a lovely, lovely park that is often used for wedding, family and class
portraits. However, if you have never been- please allow plenty of time to
arrive and park the 500 yards away in the parking lot so that the
atmosphere remains festive and fun and you stay relaxed.
ENTERING THE PARK
It will be pitch dark when you enter/approach the park. There are no street
lamps out there. PLEASE slow down as there are likely to be other runners
and volunteers trying to get across the road.
PARKING
Please park in the Briar Patch Parking Lot off of County Road 8.
Parking will be in grass lots that are not paved. Boy Scout Troop #12 will
be directing you to your spot. [Do you know hard it is to get kids up this
early?] These young men are earning points for badges!
FF/HHH Final Instructions rev 10-13-13 pt
NOTE:
It will likely be pitch black when you arrive in the morning since we are out
in the county.
We encourage you to bring a flashlight or headlamp, just in case. Mark it
with an address label so that if you set it down, we can get it right back to
you!
COURSE MARKING
The course will be marked by Noon on Friday, October 25 so we
encourage you to come out and drive the course and familiarize yourself
with the layout for that extra edge if this is your first time.
The course will be marked with plenty of signs, as well as volunteers on
the turns. Yellow Arrows for the half marathon, Green for the 5K.
For the Half marathon, we have you running against traffic for most of the
course, except for about one mile in Middlebury where you are running on
a path going with traffic.
WATER STOPS
There are 7 water stops on the half marathon, approximately every 2 miles
or close to that where there was room to put one at mile 2ish, 4, 6, 8.7,
9.5,11, 12.
Distance runners- it’s always good to back some fuel that you have trained
with or want to try.
There are 2 water stops on the 5K course.
RESTROOMS
There are eight pit toilets around the park and by the parking area that are
not horrible, as well as indoor restrooms in the One Room School building
and by the start/finish line area.
On the half marathon, there is a restroom just feet from the course around
Mile 5 water stop, behind Northridge High school at the Boys & Girls Club.
SAFETY
We have five officers and 85 volunteers on the course to help you get to
the finish line. If you get into trouble, let someone at a water stop know and
they will call for help. We can come get you, if necessary.
