Prosyannikova Yana Mykolayivna is a lecturer of the Department of the English and Turkish Languages, the deputy Head of the Department. In 2005 she graduated from Kherson State University with honours and got the diploma of "PMSE. Language and Literature (English, German)". She received a master's degree in the English Language and World Literature. According to her diploma qualification she is a lecturer of the English and German languages and World literature. From 2009 till 2012 she was taking a postgraduate course at Kherson State University in specialty 10.02.04 - Germanic languages (English). The theme of her dissertation is " Semiotics of comparison in English poetic texts of Canadian poetry" Prosyannikova Yana Mykolayivna has 30 published scientific works in professional Ukrainian and foreign journals. These publications are included into SCOPUS scientometric base. Among them are methodical recommendations and manuals "Articulation of English explosive consonants and affricates" and "Articulation of English interdental consonants". Since 2012 she has been the supervisor of the student research group "Current issues of interpretation and translation". Since 2014 she has been the head of the student practical experience at the Faculty of Translation. Since 2014 she has been the dean`s assistant in international activities. In October 2015 she took an internship at the Department of “Theory and practice of branch translation” at the Kherson National Technical University. Research Interests: Cognitive Linguistics; Semiotics; Narratology.
