Increased Fees for Consultancy and Accreditation - CAAM-HP

Caribbean Accreditation Authority for
Education in Medicine and other Health Professions (CAAM-HP)
REVISED FEES FOR CONSULTANCY AND ACCREDITATION SERVICES
1. Consultancy
As set out in the document, Procedures of the CAAM-HP, one of the important functions of the
CAAM-HP is to determine fees payable by institutions in connection with the accreditation of
their programmes. Also, one of the sources of revenue is income derived from earnings for
services provided by the Authority. Among the services provided is consultation for which a fee
of US$500.00 was being charged. However, recent experiences have shown that this fee is
grossly inadequate.
In the light of the foregoing the Authority considered and approved a fee increase to
US$2,000.00, effective August 1, 2015.
2. Accreditation Services
There has also been an increase in requests from countries outside of the CARICOM framework
for accreditation services.
In light of this, the Authority considered and approved an annual fee of US$2,500.00 to be
charged to governments of non-CARICOM member countries which require the accreditation
services of the CAAM-HP, effective August 1, 2015.
