Single Rope Speed Events Main Division Single Rope Speed: This is a 60 second timed event. The athlete must attempt to complete as many alternating foot step jumps as possible within the time-period. The judges will count the right foot only. There must be one completed revolution of the rope for each jump. Only such jumps will be counted. Single Rope Double-Under: This is a 60 second timed event. The athlete must attempt to complete as many double-under jumps with the rope as possible within the time period. A double-under is performed by completing 2 rope revolutions for each twofooted jump. Only such jumps will be counted. Amateur Division Single Rope Two-Footed-Forward Jumps: This is a 60 second timed event. The athlete must attempt to complete as many two-footed-forward jumps as possible. A two-footedforward jump is performed by both feet touching the ground once at the same time between each revolution of the rope. Only such jumps will be counted. Single Rope Forward-Jump-Crosses: This is a 60 second timed event. The athlete must attempt to complete as many crosses within the time-period. There must be one single bounce uncrossed-jump between each cross. A cross is performed by the athlete crossing their arms in front of their body and jumping through the rope with their arms crossed. Each crossed jump will be counted within the time period given. Double Dutch Speed Events Main Division Double-Dutch Speed: Requires 3 athletes. All athletes must turn and jump. This is a 2minute timed event. Each jumper must attempt to complete as many alternating feet jumps as possible within a 40 second time-period. Only such jumps will be counted. Only the right foot will be counted. At the command of “switch” the first jumper exits and switches with the second jumper, who will enter the ropes and jump for the next 40 seconds. The jumpers will switch every 40 seconds until the command “stop” is given. Each double dutch team member must turn for 80 seconds and jump for 40 seconds during the event, not doing so will be grounds for a zero score in that component event. Amateur Division Same event, but with only one rope. Freestyle Routine Events Pairs-Routine Event: Two jumpers doing the same tricks at the same time with single ropes Music is optional – must be on iPhone/iPod and be the only song on that playlist. Jumping area – quarter of a basketball court max space for movement Both jumpers must make all tricks in sequence to get full credit. 5 components (20% each) are worth 100% total. Each component is either met and the jumper is awarded the 20% or not met and the jumper does not get that full 20% added to their score. o Within time limits (0:45-1:15) (20%) o Interaction between partners (20%) o Cross combination- 5+ tricks (20%) o Power combination- 5+ tricks (20%) o Beginning & ending pose (20%) Each MISS is worth 1% that is deducted from total percentage of 5 components to determine score and placement. Double-Dutch Event: Three jumpers with two ropes. Music is optional – must be on iPhone/iPod and be the only song on that playlist. Space – quarter of a basketball court max space movement All jumpers must turn and jump. 5 components worth 100%. Each component is either met and the jumpers are awarded the 20% or not met and the jumpers will not get that full 20% added to their score. o Within time limits (0:45-1:15) (20%) o All jumpers turn AND jump at some point (20%) o Double Under combo- 5+ (20%) o Turner involvement (20%) o Dance sequence both turners and jumpers at the same time (20%) Each MISS is worth 1% that is deducted from total percentage of 5 components to determine score and placement. ****All routine events must be made up and completed before day of event. **** Divisions Main vs. Amateur Jumpers have the choice of competing in either the “Main” or “Amateur” division. Though, athlete cannot go between divisions. Age Competitors will compete in age divisions per-event. Age brackets are as follows: • 10-Under • 11-12 • 13-14 • 15-17 • 18-22 • 23-29 • 30-49 • 50-Over
