Cognitive Strategies Worksheet
Pygmalion
The Norton Anthology of Drama Vol. 2: The Nineteenth Century to the Present. Ed. Simon,
Peter. New York: W.W. Norton and Company Inc, 2009. 408-470. Print.
Purpose: This worksheet, which would be familiar to students as it would have been used for
different reading assignments, will allow for students to organize their thoughts as they read. It
will allow for better discussions throughout the unit and give the students the opportunity to
remember what they thought as they read for classes after reading. They can be allowed to
dismiss the vocabulary piece on this worksheet, as they will already be working on vocabulary.
If they want to add more, they may.
Materials Needed:
• Worksheet
Time Allotted: This will be something filled throughout the reading.
Directions:
• Give the worksheet out at the beginning of the reading and allow them to keep it updated
throughout the reading.
• This worksheet must be turned in at the end of the readings.
• A new worksheet will be given for the viewing of My Fair Lady.
