Sending an eGPFR Response

Receiving eGPFR Requests and
Sending eGPFR Responses
GP Factual Report (GPFR) is used by the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) in
cases where a disability benefit claim is being made. The purpose is to verify with a
claimant’s GP that the disability is as claimed.
This process can be completed electronically via SCI Gateway, using an electronic GPFR
(eGPFR) Request and Response. The Request is sent to the claimant’s GP practice in the
form of a letter detailing the information required, and the GP replies using a protocol
similar to those used when sending a referral.
This section covers:

Viewing eGPFR Requests

Opening, Printing and saving eGPFR Requests

Replying to eGPFR Requests


A patient’s CHI number needs to be identified in a document in order to save it
directly into Docman. EGPFR messages to do not contain the patient CHI number
therefore it is not possible to save a document straight to the patient’s record in
Docman.
The Drop a Document icon on your desktop may look different to the one pictured
