As part of a comprehensive program • Interior Renovation • A/M/E/P/FP Services • Multi-phase Construction to improve the residence life experience, Shea-Durgin Hall at Bridgewater State College a 1960’s building with 620 beds and lounge areas on its five bedroom floors, was identified for renovations over three consecutive summers. Integrated Design Group designed and proposed a detailed construction phasing over two summers, reducing general condition costs and directing more funds for actual construction. Phase 1 included upgrades to primary electric service and asbestos removal of floor tile. Phase 2 reconfigured and rebuilt all bathrooms, reorganized bedrooms, and constructed lounge and study spaces, with light and views of the campus.
