Summary of the Day
41 Students attended WaterWORKS Hanover; the weather was fantastic, lunch was great and although
the day was very busy with lots of different activities students were well behaved and really did appear
to appreciate the opportunity to learn more about where their water comes from and where it goes
after we have used it. Staff from the Conservation Authority and the Town of Hanover did a great job
engaging the students in different “hands on” activities learning about on line SKADA monitoring
systems, water testing procedures and protocols, the mechanics and chemistry of water treatment and
sewage treatment, source water protection and role of the natural ecosystems in keeping our water
clean and safe.
The following pages contain a photo essay of the day…enjoy!!!! Thanks for participating in WaterWORKS

So how many buckets of water do you
consume in a day and what if you had
to carry them all from the source?
Thanks to everyone who participated in the day and
made it a great success...especially Mother Nature.
Thanks also to our partners and sponsors.....
