ShoreTel Satisfies Tulip’s Hunger for Better Customer Service
LONDON, UK, Jan. 16, 2013 – ShoreTel® (Nasdaq: SHOR), the leading provider of
brilliantly simple unified communications platforms, including business phone systems,
applications and mobile UC solutions, today announced that Tulip Ltd, one of the UK’s
leading food producers, has selected ShoreTel for its UC platform. The ShoreTel solution
enables Tulip to provide better customer service and has improved internal communication
among its employees.
Tulip produces over 358,000 tonnes of meat each year and is one of the leading providers to
UK supermarkets. Tulip offers a range of products including the brands Danepak and Spam
and in recent years has grown substantially largely as a result of acquisition. Due to the high
level of demand, customers expect production to run smoothly and require a high level of
service.
In order to keep up with its own growth, Tulip decided to integrate a Unified Communication
platform across their 24 sites. Having investigated all major suppliers of UC, including Cisco,
Tulip selected ShoreTel’s UC platform, implemented by Response Data Communications,
as it needed a solution that would be cost-effective and easy to maintain, while helping the
company to remain a modern, connected and a geographically diverse business.
The ShoreTel UC solution allows real-time management of all communications channels –
email, voice and Web chat – enabling a better and more responsive customer experience.
ShoreTel matched all of Tulip’s requirements by enabling them to reduce implementation
time and cost as well as allowing seamless communication across its sites. The brilliantly
simple solution enabled Tulip to extend the functionality of a desk phone to mobile devices,
with the next step being to integrate the UC platform across all 24 of Tulip’s sites, allowing
for a conference bridge between each one.
