 GCSE’S grade C or above in Maths, English and
Science based subject, with an engineering subject
being desirable.
 A Levels in Maths and Physics grade C or above or a
Level 3 qualification in engineering (or equivalent)
 Interest in practical engineering and working within a
team environment
 Must be flexible, adaptable
 Must be a confident communicator and proactive
problem solver

What are my responsibilities?
A Higher Apprenticeship at Siemens Energy Management
takes three years to complete.



Year 1 – you will initially be college based for a
block period where you will be undertaking 3 units
of Performing Engineering Operations. During this
period, you will also be starting Level 4 HNC in
Electrical/Electronic Engineering, which will be
one day per week for the rest of the year
Year 2 is work based in a Siemens business with
day release at college to continue your Level 4
HNC in Electrical / Electronic Engineering. You
will also start a NVQ Level 4
Year 3 is work based in a Siemens business, and
you will also conclude your NVQ
