and parts used to manufacturer
a given component; and/or the
product processing or
manufacturing history.

• Tracking, v—knowing,
documenting, and/or collecting
information related to the
distribution and location of a
given component after delivery
from the manufacturer or
supplier.
Tracking

• As proposed by PHMSA, tracking would
include:
– Location where the pipe and components were
installed,
– Date installed, and
– The person who made the joints in the pipeline
system.
