ST MARY’S RC PRIMARY SCHOOL APRIL 2016 Dear Parents / Carers Welcome back after what we hope was a happy and holy Easter holiday. You will find the diary of events for this summer term on the reverse of this newsletter. We look forward to a busy and exciting term ahead. Thank you for your wonderful support of our CAFOD fundraising this year. The classes are presently undertaking their sponsored events and monies for this and boxes can be sent in until Friday 29th April. Look out for details of our final total in next month’s newsletter. As you will have noticed, our building work is moving ahead at some pace. Most of the work has been completed but it will still be some weeks before the whole project can be signed off. Thank you for your continued patience and understanding while this work is being undertaken. As the weather turns warmer the pupils may come to school in their summer uniform. This is – Summer Uniform: Girls Boys Grey trousers/shorts Pale blue and white checked dress White polo shirt White socks Grey socks black shoes/suitable enclosed sandals Black shoes Please note: Please remember that jewellery, nail varnish and ‘fashion’ hair cuts are not part of our school uniform at any time of the year. We are continuing to monitor attendance and punctuality very closely as both have a big impact on the children’s learning and report this to governors. Attendance - 95% is the minimum expectation for attendance for individual children and classes.
