• August 2004 - FCC releases order to solve public
safety radio interference
• FCC appointed “Transition Administrator” to
manage process and mediate disputes.
• FCC Report and Order allows for “Comparable
Facilities” - Licensees receive no gains in
features/product.
• The 3 R’s rule: Retune, Reprogram, Replace.
• Sprint-Nextel responsible for all costs
• All expenses heavily scrutinized, detailed
justifications required.

RFP/signs agreements;

• Sign Frequency Reconfiguration Agreement
(FRA) with Sprint-Nextel Jul, 2008.
