Any swimmer entered in the meet must be certified by a USA Swimming member coach as being proficient in performing a racing start or must start each race from within the water. When unaccompanied by a membercoach, it is the responsibility of the swimmer or the swimmer’s legal guardian to ensure compliance with this requirement. Class of Meet: Facility: This is an open quality meet. The Schroeder Aquatic Center is an eight lane, 50 meter pool with nonturbulent lane markers and backstroke flags. Pool depth at starting end is 7' turn end is 16’. Block height is 29.5". The competition course has been certified in accordance with 104.2.2C(4). The copy of such certification is on file with USA Swimming. The session will then begin following a 60 minute warmup session. Violators of the Wisconsin Swimming warmup procedures are subject to disqualification. Wisconsin Swimming warmup procedures will be in effect. Swimmer must enter the pool from the starting end using a three point entry for warmups. Warmup session will begin with 30 minutes of circle swimming in all lanes. Sprint lanes will be opened as needed in the last 30 minutes of warmups of the warm up session. A fully automatic Colorado timing system with 2 manual backup buttons and two backup timers for each lane will be used. If the automatic system fails, a gun or horn will be used at the start. The bulkhead may only be used by officials and counters during the meet. Swimmers and Coaches will not be allowed to cross the pool via the bulkheads during the meet. Official 2014 USA Swimming and WI LSC rules shall prevail at this meet. Age as of May 30th. Reservation checks will be accepted for individual events. Entries, Recap of Entries on HyTek disk, hard copy, waiver and fees must be received by the by the Entry Chair no later than 6:00pm on May 22. Entries must be received in electronic format. Late entries will not be accepted. Please note, money used for reservations in not refundable and cannot be used to offset facility use fees, splash fees or deck entry fees. Oconomowoc, WI 53066 [email protected] Entry Fees: Entry Limit: Disabled Swimmers: Deck Entries: $8.00 per individual event (Friday), $5.00 per individual event (Sat. &Sun.), $6.00 facility use fee per swimmer, plus $3 Splash Fee per swimmer. All fees must accompany entries. Check should be made payable to Pabst Farm YMCA. NOTE: Please make sure that your waiver is signed. We cannot accept entries without a waiver. Each swimmer may be entered into a maximum of 3 events per day. Coaches are responsible for informing Officials and the Meet Director of any disabled swimmer’s needs prior to warmups. Deck entries may be accepted at the discretion of the meet director and must be accompanied by a payment of $12.00 per individual event. Deck entries will close 30 before the start of each session. Format: This is a timed finals meet. All events will be preseeded with the exception of Fridays events. These events will be positive check in and deck seeded. Fly over starts may be used. Please note: Heats/events may be combined due to time constraints, but will be awarded as separate groups. If necessary to meet session time limits, events/heats may be limited. Deck Seeded Events: All of Friday’s events will be positive checkin and deck seeded. Positive check in for these events will close 45 minutes before the start Coaches Packet: Awards: of the session. Friday's events will be swum fastest to slowest. The Wisconsin Scratch rule will be in effect for this meet. Failure to scratch prior to seeding and not swimming the event will result in the swimmer being barred from the next individual event in which he/she is entered. Entries may be limited by Meet Management to meet the session time limit. Swimmers cut from these events will be refunded their entry fee or that fee can be used to deck seed in any age/gender appropriate open lane or event. Coaches may pick up their packets in the swim office. Any monies owed must be paid before obtaining the packet. Please be prepared to show your USA coach’s card at the time of pick up. Coach’s cards must be visible at all times. Athletes will receive medals for placement 13 and ribbons for placement 46 for age groups 910, 1112, 1314, and 15&over. 8 and under swimmers will swim with 910 year olds, but will be awarded separately. Awards must be picked up at the meet. Awards will not be mailed after the conclusion of the meet. Admissions: Admission will be charged and heat sheets will either be sold on site or made available prior to the meet on the YMCA at Pabst Farms Swim Team Website (www.teamunify.com/wiypfst). Food: Food and beverage will be available during the meet. Coaches will show their USA Swimming Coaches card to receive complimentary food and drink. Parking: Limited parking will be located in the west parking lot. There will be additional parking available behind the Old Navy store which is just a short walk to the pool. WSAC is also offering parking spaces with a fee on the east side of the building. Conduct: The meet host reserves the right to conduct the entire meet using positive checkin procedures. Once entries are received, the meet host will advise all participating teams as to which events/sessions will be preseeded and which will be deck seeded following a checkin. For checkin events, swimmers will need to be checked in at least 45 minutes before the start of each session. Swimmers not positively checkedin prior to the deadline will be scratched. ● **The meet host reserves the right to limit the number of heats swum on ALL EVENTS. The number of heats will be limited to ensure that sessions end in a timely manor. ● (#) 800m Free swimmers must provide their own counter and timer. Additionally, the meet host reserves the right to limit the number of heats conducted and/or to conduct the 800m free with two competitors swimming per lane. Each team is responsible for the conduct of its swimmers and parents. Please note, there will be no oil rub downs allowed on deck. All on deck seating will be reserved for use by the athletes and coaches. No parents are allowed on deck or in any of the ondeck seating. Any person who, in the opinion of the Meet director, Meet Referee, or Meet Marshal, is harmful to others or to the property of others will be required to leave the competition venue. By order of the Brown Deer Fire Department, there will be no videotaping or picture taking allowed in any area of the stairwells or upper stair well landing areas. Anybody using these areas for videotaping or picture taking will be promptly removed from that area. Cell phones and other recording devices are not allowed in the locker room. First Aid: Meet Results: Swim Supplies: Girls Event # 1 3 5 Except where venue facilities require otherwise, changing into or out of swimsuits other than in locker rooms or other designated areas is not appropriate and is strongly discouraged.
