CHILDHOOD OBESITY.
As the new school year begins, we would like to remind
you about the importance of your child’s Physical
Education. The percentage of overweight youth has
more than TRIPLED in the past 25 years partially due
to increased interest in sedentary activities such as
television, computers, and video games. A reduction in

consumed has contributed to an obesity epidemic.

can learn the habit of physical activity, when given the
opportunity to be active, they can also learn to be
inactive. This is due children at a young age not taught
the proper skills necessary and exposed to what it
means to be active. Don’t let your child be a statistic,
