Product Description:
Frameless glazed operable walling as shown on the plans shall be HUFCOR Series 3550 as
furnished and installed by an authorised representative of HUFCOR.
Operation:
Panels shall be top supported, and fitted with a one point suspension system, panels will be hinged in
groups of two. The panels shall be manually moved into position and secured by the setting of a
footbolt on each panel. The design of the interlocking footbolt ensures that it must be set before the
next panel group can be positioned and secured. Panels shall be stored in a centre stacking
configuration at either end of the opening.
No floor track shall be used.
Tracking:
Hufcor System 5, Heavy duty centre tracking extruded aluminium system. Each panel to have a
single, 4 wheeled carrier, complete with moulded polymer tyres and hardened steel bearings, the
carrier is positioned centrally along the width of each panel. [weight to 120kgs per panel]
Tracks to be installed from overhead structure [refer to drawings for track installation method]
Panels:
Panels shall be 40mm thick and shall be up to 1200mm wide[subject to wind loadings if applicable].
The top and bottom rails shall be manufactured from a one-piece extruded aluminium section and
incorporate (if required) two continuous runs of non PVC thermoplastic sweep seals. The glass shall
be affixed to the rails with stainless steel rods through holes in the glass to prevent slippage. Friction
or adhesive fixing of the glass to the rail shall not be accepted. The glazing shall be in accordance
with Australian Standard AS 1288-2006 and AS1170.2. The top rail shall incorporate coated steel
fixing blocks for carrier bolts and the bottom rail shall permit fitting of concealed footbolts and locks.
The whole door system shall been strength tested and comply with AS-4420-1996

Basic Panels shall be equal in module to a maximum of 1200mm wide or as nominated.
Full height access door panel shall be up to a maximum of 1060mm and fitted with Hufcor
(standard) hardware.

All as nominated in AS 1288-2006 [subject to design wind pressures]
For heights beyond those nominated a Certificate of Compliance-Design to the Building Regulations
2006, forming part of the building Act 1993, must be provided.

The glazing is to be in accordance with Australian Standard AS 1288-2006 for Span / 60 as a
minimum, the glass must be designed to withstand human impact and where applicable, wind
loadings.

Warranty:
The movable glass wall shall be fully guaranteed by the manufacturer against defects in workmanship
or materials for a period of 12 months from date of installation. The manufacturers guarantee shall not
exceed that of the glass supplier if such supplier’s guarantee is less than that provided above
Tolerances:

The maximum permissible overhead structural deflection under load shall be 3mm.

Floors shall be level in the path of the partitioning to a tolerance not exceeding + 3mm. The
general contractor shall be responsible for rectification of floors outside this tolerance.

Jambs shall be plumb, the maximum variation of opening width shall be + 5mm.
