AVIVA™ ELECTRIC BIKES
VIPER ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
Aviva™ - For A New Way Of Life
Lift Bike straight up and out of the carton.
You will have also 1 tool kit, 2 pedals, bag with directions on
battery care and extra fuses,1 seat and any accessories that you
ordered.
Cut all of the plastic twist ties, bring handlebars gently to the ground. Cut ties to
the wheel and fender and separate wheel and fender and take fender out of
plastic bag. Sometimes wheel is in between pedal crank, be careful and use very
little force.
Twist the front fork so the black protrusions are facing front. If you
twist it correctly the wire to the light will get longer with more slack.
Take the nuts on both sides of the wheel and loosen them as much as
you can to allow it to fit into fork.
Take the black plastic fork protector off of the forks and place the
wheel in the fork.
Make sure that the large disc is on the right side of the fork, as you face
the forks. Washers on the axle should be on the outside of the fork and the
protruding washer should face all of the way down in-between the
forks(this will happen almost automatically) then hand tighten both sides.
Tighten with wrench provided. This is the time that you can take the
packaging off the back wheel and lower the kick stand.
Disc Brake: Clip the tie and take bag off of disc brake and the 2 Allen
bolts provided. Slide the disc brake over the disc. This is relatively
simple and the opening slides around the brake. The disc brake will
match up to the 2 holes and use the 2 Allen bolts provided to tighten the
brake to the frame with the Allen wrench provided.
Take center bolt off of fork that is holding the light on. Cut
the black plastic tie off of it.
Slide the fender through the fork from behind, from back to
front. Remove plastic protector on tab. Make sure that the
fender supports are lowered down and not in the way.
Make sure the fender tab is closest to the fork, then the
light, finally the washer.
Tighten with Allen wrench provided.
Make sure that you center the fender when tightening the
bolt. Light also has to be upright and centered.
Take the fender supports and attach to the screws
as shown in the picture. Tighten both sides. Make
sure that on the disc brake side, the wire for the
brake is behind the support as shown in the left
picture.
Take the wrapping off of the handlebars and the black cap off the spindle
at bottom. Hold onto the gray bottom of spindle that was covered by the
cap and make sure that the handle bar spindle goes straight into the hole
which is above the forks. Tighten bolt but not too tight
Use your judgment on how perpendicular the handlebars are to the front
wheel.
Face the rear of the bike with the front tire between your feet and
straighten the handlebars. Now tighten firmly Make sure handlebars that
fold when tighten are with metal tab in the horizontal position and
firmly.
Loosen the clamp for the seat post and after lowering seat
tighten 2 -3 times and make sure that it is firm but not too
tight. Next unwrap pedals and make sure that you put left
on left side and right on the right side. Left pedal goes in
counter- clockwise and the right pedal goes in clockwise.
Tighten with wrench provided.
