Convert - Intersolar Europe 2016
14/06/2016
Intersolar Europe, with more of 40.000 visitors in 2015, is the world’s leading exhibition
for the solar industry and its partners and it takes place annually at the Messe München
exhibition center in Munich, Germany. Since being founded 25 years ago, Intersolar
Europe has become the most important industry platform for manufacturers, suppliers,
distributors, service providers and partners in the solar industry.
Again this year Convert will be exhibiting at this important exhibition with a 115 sqm
booth, innovative, elegant and renewed in the look, where will show its core product:
the single axis Tracker model TRJ.
The TRJ is the Pv single axis tracker that is experiencing great success abroad. It allows
to move PV modules that, tracking the sun position, give an energy production higher
than 25% respect to fixed structures. The optimal position of the module is determined
by a GPS system integrated into the electronic control. The TRJ is easy to produce and
to dispatch, thanks to the use of steel supplies produced in the countries where the
projects will be realized. The TRJ can be also installed in difficult terrains and with
sensible slopes, it is easy to maintenance so is sufficient just the intervention of one
operator as machines and special tools are not required.
Some of the 2017 innovations will be the self-powered motors and the wireless
supervision system.
With the Pv plant installed in Atacama desert in Chile (a project of 97 MW), Convert’s
technology is confirming its flexibility and capacity to adapt itself to extreme
environmental conditions. The company has been chosen as partner also in Brazil,
where, in Bahia State, at the beginning of the current year, the construction of the
largest Pv park of the country has started. A plant that covers 630 hectares and that
once fully operational could produce energy for 260MW, sufficient to cover the
electrical consumption of Milan district for about a week.
With this order Convert has implemented a production schedule of 1 GW of trackers in
2016 and 1.7 GW in 2017. Other commitments for the construction of large plants are
made in Jordan, Mexico and South Africa, where is based the Convert South Africa.
Furthermore, in the last month the company has won a contract and will be involved,
with other partners, in the realization of 4 plants for a total of 50MW in Karnataka State,
India.
Giuseppe Moro, CEO of Convert, that in the past years decided to pay its employees’
property tax, excluding executive managers, likes looking beyond.

He wanted to give to his “jewel”, the single axis tracker TRJ, a special representation. So,
in the occasion of Convert website renewal, has entrusted the photographer Federico
Massimiliano Mozzano with the not easy task to give a “soul” to an industrial product.
The pictures illustrate the different components of TRJ like they were pieces of art,
jewels to keep in a showcase and that is the cue and theme of the Vernissage
“Technology is our art” that will take place on 23rd, June at Convert’s booth in Munich.
A combination between art and technology to launch a message of experience,
accuracy, innovation and eye to the future, as our new company payoff plays: “The
Future is on track”.
