Courses will also be classified in accordance with the requirements in the Study-administrative regulations (1993:1153). In accordance with a decision by KTH, the following applies for the establishment of first cycle and second cycle courses. For course syllabus, a special template must be used so that KTH's courses can be presented in a uniform fashion and to ensure that all information which should be included in the syllabus is presented. The course syllabus must be available in Swedish and English. Templates for a course syllabus are available under Forms and templates in Swedish and in English. The following times apply for courses: 15 February. Syllabus for summer courses must be decided. 15 March. Syllabus for autumn courses must be decided. 15 September. Syllabus for spring courses must be decided. First cycle and second cycle courses at KTH shall comprise a minimum of six university credits. A decision regarding exemption from this requirement is taken by the faculty board. First cycle courses are established by the Head of School following consultation with other schools concerned. A decision on the establishment of a course is made at the school the course is to be held. The continuing education courses offered are decided by the Vice-Dean of faculty following preparation by the Head of School and in the university administration. See below. Establishment of continuing education courses The director of undergraduate and master studies is responsible for the preparatory measures on the establishment of courses.
