PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
POLYSOL IP is an insulating system obtained through the hot bonding of a smooth or mineral-coated
plastomeric waterproofing membrane reinforced with glass fibre or non-woven polyester fabric to strips of stiff
polyurethane foam. This system offers excellent performance in terms of thermal insulating.
THERMAL INSULATING DESCRIPTION
Stiff polyurethane foam panels with elevated density made in continuous lamination and faced with flexible
support on both sides are cut into 50 mm wide strips. The panel’s facing can be in reinforced glass fibre and
polythene (POLYSOL IP 35 V) or in bituminous felt rolls (POLYSOL IP 35 C).
BONDED MEMBRANE DESCRIPTION
Plastomeric waterproofing membrane made of a distilled bitumen-based compound modified with
polypropylene and with reinforcement in non-woven polyester fabric or fiber glass. The membrane is made
with NAT®, technology, the innovative production that controls the ageing of the bituminous membrane’s
polymeric matrix.
WHERE TO APPLY
POLYSOL IP is used in the waterproofing and thermal insulating of walkable and non-walkable civil and
industrial pitched, flat, slightly arched and shed roofs.
POLYSOL IP 35 V
POLYSOL IP 35 C
APPLICATION: INSTRUCTIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
POLYSOL IP must be laid with its grey membrane facing up and anchored in the right way depending on
the surface and environmental conditions (windy surroundings, low temperatures or abrupt temperature
change):
• flaming with propane gas on vapour barrier or filter;
• molten bitumen oxide (POLYOXID);
• glue (POLYFIX);
• mechanical fixings (nylon nails and bolts, steel nails with washers).
NEW: POLYVAP SA double-adhesive vapour barrier can also be used as of today !
Whenever the rolls are not provided with side lap selvedge strips, special POLYBAND sealing strips with
min. 14 cm height are supplied. The laying surface must be dry, clean, and sufficiently smooth and level.
Any additional membranes required must be laid with complete adherence to the underlying layer making
sure that such sheets overlap the sealing band.
STOCKING
POLYSOL IP 35V and POLYSOL IP 35V rolls are packaged in heat-sealed polythene sacks. In order to
maintain all waterproofing and thermal insulating properties intact, store the product in a dry place out of
direct sunlight. Contact with organic liquids and solvents can damage the product. Be careful to avoid any
puncturing activity during laying (by wearing shoes with cleats, positioning concentrated weights on top, or
dropping cutting objects).

1 Remove the insulating system from its package.
2 Position the roll over the vapour barrier and torch it lightly for the adhesion of the system.
3 Fix the overlap and weld them.
4 Position the second roll.
5 / 6 Lightly torch the side laps.
7 Cut the insulating system for the insertion of the breather pipe (beneath the vapour barrier).
8 / 9 After the breather pipe has been inserted, make the other details necessary.
