Gary Yates
Vice President – JLL Consulting
Current Responsibilities
Mr. Yates leads the Labor-Location Diagnostics specialty within JLL’s Strategic
Consulting Group. Mr. Yates assists clients navigate the challenge of Where. Where
to find the optimal workforce, where to find the optimal infrastructure, where to find
the optimal long-term costs, and ultimately where to find the optimal location.
With more than 20 years experience focused on national and international location
searches, Mr. Yates has proven his expertise in delivering client focused solutions for
labor and technical driven projects. His work is solving location questions with
multiple tools: labor market evaluations, salary benchmark studies, environmental
and regulatory assessments, comprehensive decision modeling, GIS mapping, quality
of life research, employee retention analysis, and technical infrastructure.

Mr. Yates began his consulting career with Moran, Stahl & Boyer in 1995. Five years
later he was recruited by his biggest client, The Staubach Company, for his expertise
in location analytics. JLL acquired The Staubach Company in 2008 and Mr. Yates
smoothly transitioned his consulting role into the larger organization. Mr. Yates
earned the Top Achiever Award in 2006 and 2012 and the Innovation Award in 2007.

Experience
Mr. Yates received his Bachelor of Science in Economics at Messiah College. He
is a Six Sigma Greenbelt, and holds a Georgia real estate license. Mr. Yates has
been published multiple times, is a frequent speaker at conferences, and is an
active member of the Site Selectors Guild.
