PRACTICAL & CREATIVE ENVIRONMENTAL SOLUTIONS
Triterra specializes in brownfield redevelopment, environmental consulting, and natural resource
management services. Our aim is to be one of Michigan’s premier environmental consulting
firms...while maintaining our “boutique” atmosphere. That means: ‘big’ in terms of the quality we
offer, but small enough to continue to provide the attention our customers deserve. Our team is
dedicated to providing services that are tailored to the best interests of our client.
IT’S NOT JUST WHAT WE DO;
IT’S WHO WE ARE AND HOW WE DO IT.

PROJECT HIGHLIGHT
The Montgomery Drain Project
Lansing, Michigan
Meet Meredeth Crane
Triterra is conducting a stormwater quality assessment of
the Montgomery Drain Drainage District on behalf of the
Ingham County Drain Commissioner. The Montgomery
Drain, located in a mixed residential and commercial area
in Lansing, East Lansing, and Lansing Township, discharges
stormwater to the Red Cedar River. Triterra has performed
sampling and continuous monitoring of stormwater
runoff from the district for nearly two years to develop an
understanding of the water quality and flow characteristics
prior to construction improvements to the drain. Triterra’s
assessment is being used by the project’s comprehensive
team of professionals to design an innovative stormwater
treatment system. The treatment system aims to improve
water quality and reduce flooding, while restoring the
intended uses of the runoff by providing wildlife habit and
a recreational destination for visitors and residents.
