STANDARD PRICING TABLE
Optus Messaging Service
This Standard Pricing Table forms part of Optus’ Standard Form of Agreement pursuant to the
Telecommunications Legislation.
This Standard Pricing Table for the following Optus Messaging Service Options comprises the
following appendices:


Appendix 1 – Optus SMS Gateway Service Option:
(Standard Pricing Table)
Optus will only supply the Optus SMS Gateway Service Option at the rates set out in the Standard
Pricing Tables below for each site if you choose a Committed Term of at least twelve months.
1.
SERVICE CHARGES
1.1
Minimum Service Charge means the minimum monthly charge or fee specified in the
Application or as set out below in Table 1 and/or 2 that you will pay Optus for the Committed
Term from the Service Start Date.
1.2
Establishment Charges- you will pay an Establishment Charge of $2500 (including GST)
which includes the cost of one MSISDN (provided that the MSISDN is not a Shortcode).
1.3
Administration Fee- you will pay an administration fee of $100 (excluding GST)where the
first MSISDN provisioned for you is a Shortcode or a MSISDN which will be used for
Premium Rate Services and for each Alphanumeric used by you.
1.4
Alphanumeric Charge- you must pay a monthly charge of $30 (including GST) for each
Alphanumeric.
1.5
Additional MSISDNs
(a)
At your request, Optus may install additional MSISDNs for:
(i)
$20 (excluding GST) per each additional MSISDN provisioned for you within
the Optus number range; or
(ii)
MSISDN numbers provisioned for you outside the Optus number range:
(iii)

A)
$100 (excluding GST) per each consecutive range of such MSISDN
numbers;
B)
$100 (excluding GST) per each such non-consecutive MSISDN
number; or
for a Shortcode or MSISDN which will be used for Premium Rate Services
$100 (excluding GST) per Shortcode or MSISDN.
(b)
You acknowledge that it may take Optus approximately five (5) Business Days to
action your request for a Shortcode and/or MSISDN.
(c)
Subject to availability and Optus’ consent, you may reserve a MSISDN for a period of
up to 3 months. A charge of $5.00 (excluding GST) per month will be payable to
Optus in respect of any MSISDN reserved by you.
Usage Charges - you will pay for each SMS Message sent as calculated by: the rate plan
selected in your Application; or Table 1 below; Table 2 below where at least 90% of SMS
Messages sent that particular month are to End Users.

Additional Usage Charges- where you send:
(a)
less than 30% of SMS Messages in a particular month End Users under the WMB
Rate Plan you must pay to Optus an additional sum of $0.18 (excluding GST) per
SMS Message sent outside the 30% less the amount charged per Message under
the WMB Rate Plan; or
(b)
more than 90% of SMS Messages in a particular month to End Users under the
On-Net Rate Plan you must pay to Optus an additional sum of $0.18 (excluding
GST) per SMS Message sent outside the 90% less the amount charged per
Message under the On-Net Rate Plan.
