Start Date: June 20, 2016 End Date: September 9, 2016 Position Closes When Filled Program Overview OPAL Environmental Justice Oregon is seeking a Coordinator for our Organizers-in-Training (OiT) program for Summer 2016. OiT is a dynamic leadership development program that seeks to cultivate the next generation of environmental justice organizers, advocates and leaders. The program grounds participants in the racial, social and environmental justice movement, combining trainings and workshops with grassroots field experience. Strong candidates with campaign, organizing and/or advocacy experience, including strong management and facilitation skills, with an understanding of racial, social and environmental justice and a commitment to grassroots, multiracial and intergenerational organizing. Coordination of this program is a non-exempt full-time job, salary negotiable depending on experience, with transit and health benefits. The program runs for ten (10) weeks, from June 27th to September 2nd. Some evening and weekends are required.
