Please complete this form and return by Friday 1st July in order to secure Prelude
Programme provision for your pupils. Full details of the Prelude Programme are in the
brochure ‘Prelude Programme – Whole Class Instrumental Music Lessons’.

you wish to access for your school.

Terms 1&2
Terms 3&4
Terms 5&6
Optional Extension Programme A:
Cost: £175 per class
This is the same provision as the main Prelude Programme but for a second
term. Unfortunately there is not enough funding available to subsidise the
delivery of the programme at the same level for more than 11 sessions,
therefore although this Extension A option is the identical package to the
main Prelude Programme it is subsidised to a lesser extent.
Please indicate the Terms you would prefer these to take place in.
Terms 1, 2, 3 & 4
Terms 3, 4, 5 & 6
Optional Extension Programme B:
Cost: £32 per hour
The charge to the school is the same as the hourly small group teaching
rate. Because groups will be larger the cost to individual families will be
significantly lower than for normal peripatetic group lessons of up to 4
pupils. For example 10 pupils could share a one hour lesson for just £3.20
each. This charge should be passed on to families.
Traditional Programme:
Initial 11 week block – Charge per class: £150
Subsequent 11 week blocks – Charge per class: £355
If a school wishes to not access the new Prelude Programme and does not want to
benefit from the CPD focus, the traditional Wider Opportunities Programme can be
delivered through 45 minute sessions over 11 weeks in the current manner.
However, the subsidised cost of this is much higher.
Step 2
Please tell us about the classes that will be learning through whole class lessons.

If your school has mixed year classes please describe

Number of pupils in each class that will receive
during 2016-17:
Step 3
Please rank the instruments you would like taught in order of preference.
(You must rank all instruments as we only have a finite number of each
type). A strategic approach will be taken when allocating which instrument
will be taught in each school. This will support schools to develop school
orchestras and help obtain a good balance of instrumental learning.
Step 4
Please check the box where teaching can not take place.
