Programme Highlights
This group uses ABA strategies to focus on the skills needed
for group learning and classroom readiness, age-typical play
and social skills development, and increased behavioural
awareness. Recreational opportunities are provided, with an
emphasis on cooperative interaction. Skills taught include:
● Group Learning and Classroom Readiness, including
sustained attention, observational learning, and choral
responding
● Age-typical play, including playground skills, cooperative/
interactive play, thematic play and group games
● Social Initiation
● Social Responsiveness
● Behavioural Awareness
This group uses ABA strategies to focus on age-appropriate
social skills and group interaction. Recreational opportunities
are provided with an emphasis on cooperative interaction and
group participation. Skills needed for increased behavioural
awareness are emphasised. Skills taught include:
● Observational Learning
● Social Communication, including sustained conversation
& understanding non-verbal social cues
● Expanding Play/Social Interests
● Interactive/Cooperative Play
● Recreational/Playground Activities
● Behavioural Awareness & Self-Monitoring

for group learning and participation are emphasised. Skills
taught include:

● Play Skill Development, including playground games,
imaginative/thematic play and interactive play
● Group Activity/Play Skills, including turn-taking & sharing
● Social Communication

Your child does not have to be currently participating in an ABA programme in order attend.
If the Clinical teams feel your child may benefit from the other children participating and the
curriculum offered, we will have your child come in to meet a staff member. This will allows us to
confirm that your child will benefit from attending the group this summer.
Please register your child before the 9th of July, 2010. A minimum of 4 children per group will be
required to proceed.
Fees: £180 per week for attendance at London based groups (2 days per week) and £275 per
week for Leeds & Wilmslow groups (3 days per week).
