Wine List Welcome to the Pandora Inn wine list which we hope reflects our passion for serving great wine within our pub environment. As part of our ‘access for all’ policies, this wine list is available in a large print format, in Braille and on our website www.pandorainn.com This list continues our aim to bring you a choice of grapes, vintages and prices while taking you on a tour of the major wine producing countries across the globe. Our wine by the glass offer remains central to everything we do and we are pleased to be able to offer a choice of 17 wines in a range of glass sizes. Hopefully, there’s something for everyone! We are particularly proud to support three local wineries, two in Cornwall – Camel Valley near Bodmin and Knightor near St. Austell, and Sharpham Winery near Totnes in Devon. Due to our often challenging climate, English wines are mostly white or sparkling. The grape varieties used tend to be the ones suited to our climate such as Bacchus and Madeleine Angevine. The styles are light and fruity and the wines are well suited to the wonderful fresh shellfish and seafood that feature so strongly on our menu. We also offer wines that have full organic certification, wines that come from vineyards that have accreditation for their sustainable practices and wines that are suitable for vegetarians. It is a simple calculation of the percentage volume alcohol multiplied by the amount of wine in litres. The UK Chief Medical Officers recommend: • Women should not regularly drink more than 2-3 units per day. • Men should not regularly drink more than 3-4 units per day. Find out the exact units in your wine and for more information refer to the website www.drinkaware.co.uk As an example, the amount of units contained in a 11.5% wine is as follows: 0.125L X 11.5% = 1.44 UNITS 0.175L X 11.5% = 2 UNITS 0.250L X 11.5% = 2.88 UNITS Alternatively, the amount of units contained in a 14% wine is as follows: 0.125L X 14% = 1.75 UNITS 0.175L X 14% = 2.45 UNITS Wine Guide 0.250L X 14% = 3.5 UNITS Green Wines: White & Rosé: 1 (dry) - 9 (sweet) CO Certified organic Red: A (soft light) - E (full bodied) UO Uncertified organic NV - non-vintage SP Sustainable practices accredited Vintages and % volumes may change according to availability EC Produced with environmental considerations VW Vegetarian wine NV Vegetarian wine not suitable for vegans Restronguet Creek, Mylor Bridge, Falmouth Cornwall TR11 5ST Email: [email protected] www.pandorainn.com For all the latest news and offers, sign up to our e-newsletter on our website or ‘like’ us on Facebook.
