Water Conservation Measures Rebate Guidelines
To assist the public in conserving water as part of the implementation of
the new metered billing system, Council has approved the provision of
rebates for the purchase of certain water conservation items.
 These items and the amount of the rebate are as follows:
 Low Flow or Dual Flush Toilets
 Rain Barrel – 200 to 400 litre

 These items must have been purchased after January 1, 2009 to be
eligible for a rebate.
 Only property owners on municipal water are eligible to obtain a
rebate. Applicants must complete the appropriate form and include a
copy of their driver’s license or tax bill indicating that they own
property in Wasaga Beach. Town staff will confirm that the applicant
is on municipal water.
 Applicants must also provide copies of the receipts indicating that
they purchased the particular item. .
 Applicants will not receive a rebate cheque; rather they will be
credited with the amount on their next water bill. This is important to
note and has been written in bold just above where the person is to
sign on the application form.
 Applicants are asked to complete the form and staple all the
supporting material together with the form and bring it to the Town
Hall or Public Works Office for consideration. They will forward
completed forms to the Water/Sewer Clerk for processing.
