1℃,2 ℃…….

Can you believe it? It is our earth.
Is the Day of Disaster coming soon?
Can we do
something to
avoid it?
We should notice
and think about
the warning of
the scientists.
 Professor Hsu, the assistant director of the
National Climate Center said that scientists
find that the increase of the temperature
really does influence the whole climate
system.
Global Warming
extreme Weather Events
 The fourth assessment report of the
IPCC(Intergovernmental Panel on Climate
Change) points out that when the average
temperature increase 1℃…….
the infectious diseases will
influence more regions.
 Increase 2℃
the population of those who is
lack of water will increase 3 billions.
 Increase 3℃
the food provision will
dramatically decrease.
 Increase 4℃
about 40% species will extinct.
How about 5 ℃,6 ℃,even 7 ℃?
I don’t want to imagine it.
Let’s stop it.
 Some might say that it is not helpful at all
for an individual to do something to help to
slow down the global warming. However,
how about one million, ten million’s
individual to do so?
 Taiwan is one of the crime culprit to emit
the greenhouse gas.
 Taiwan ranks third of the average emission
of CO2 per person.
 Every Taiwanese generates2.48metric ton of
CO2.
The Emission of CO2 in Taiwan
the use of vehicles and motocycles
the use of electric equipment and the electric power
the use of fuel gas
9%
33%
58%
 the global increase of the temperature is
about 0.6℃, but in Taiwan, the average
temperature increase 1.3℃.
Let’s start from here.
 Taking the public transportation instead of
driving cars and riding motorcycles.
 Car runs 1 km will emit CO2 81 g.
 Motorcycle runs 1 km will emit CO2 23 g.
If you really need to drive...…
 Don’t accelerate and brake abruptly.
 car-pool(共乘制度)
Conclusion
 Many things can be done at an individual
level to control global warming.
 Let’s make effort to stop the harmful
extreme weather events and make our earth
happier and make our life better.
