Nesta is looking for a Team Co-ordinator to cover a period of maternity leave in the team and join the
Innovation Skills team to provide administrative, production and logistical support. The Innovation
Skills team is a small team of seven, led by the Director, Innovation Skills.
You will be responsible for supporting the administration and organisation of the team which will
include general administrative and logistical support as well as assisting with our publication
production schedule. This will require good planning and timekeeping skills, and you need to be
someone comfortable dealing with multiple streams of activity.
You’ll support the team with diary management, arranging internal and external meetings. In addition
to excellent administrative and communication skills, we are looking for a candidate who has
experience of arranging external events, this is because our programmes will often run workshops and
learning events.
You’ll be the first point of contact for external enquiries, so you’ll need to feel comfortable
representing Nesta, whether answering the phone or arranging meetings with external partners.
This is a crucial role in the team, one that ensures that we are as effective as we can be. If you are an

THE ROLE









Act as the first point of contact for external enquiries from individuals and organisations.
Co-ordinate meetings with internal and external partners.
Support the organisation of external events including workshops and learning sessions.
Support the organisation of projects to include travel arrangements, time management &
contract management,
Provide administrative support to the team, including arranging meetings and managing
diaries.
Support the team with the contact management database, being a point of contact with
the team and across the organisation.
Provide support on the production and distribution of our publications.
Supporting the Director, Innovation Skills to manage the team budget and generating
management reports.
Any other relevant administrational or support duties as may be required by the team, as
needs arise.
THE PERSON








Successful track record of working in a co-ordinating, team support or administration
capacity in a fast moving environment.
Solid organisational, prioritisation and time management skills with the proven ability to
coordinate and track multiple projects simultaneously.
Demonstrable experience of diary management, arranging meetings and preferably some
minute taking.
Good interpersonal skills: the ability to work effectively with a diverse, high-performing,
busy team including the ability to upwards manage.
Good PC Skills including Microsoft Office, Word, Powerpoint and Excel and Internet. A
working knowledge of Wordpress is desirable but not essential.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, including a professional telephone
manner, and the ability to be flexible in communication styles for different audiences (e.g.
web copy).
Demonstrable experience of organising events.
Good attention to detail, high standards of accuracy and a good completer/ finisher.
