Then tie it with a ribbon on top. You can put a sticker on it like “MY Gift to You!” • • This is also put out at the beginning of the Herbal Hour so people can see it. You give these out to people at the end who have expressed interest in learning more about the Business Opportunity. Make sure you reference it at the beginning so they know what it is Plan your presentation • Your herbal hour, will contain 3 parts: Opening, middle and closing • Practice your 30 second infomercial • Share your ‘’why’’. There is a good chance your ‘’why’’ will speak to others • Be prepared: product information, product guides, fact sheets, product, samples, business cards, BSQ, price lists, habit of health, etc • Browse the website and get familiarized with product • Label all your material ahead of time • Have guests sign-in (contact information, for future follow-ups) • Have confidence by knowing you are offering high quality products Plan your presentation • Your next available dates (next 30 days) • Product (protein, zambroza, chlorophyll, other..) • Hostess packs • Business opportunity packs. - There is a good chance you will meet future prospects. Be ready to give them information • A calculator • Pens • Business Cards IDEAS TO HELP YOU GET STARTED So, what’s next? No doubt, if you’re like most people, starting something new can be a little overwhelming. Here’s some ideas to get you started. The first place to start is to think of things you are naturally interested in. Subjects that you personally are interested in— no doubt you have learned a lot about your own interests and that makes you a natural teacher! Don’t overthink, just write! • Many people use the FRANK list (friends, relatives, activities, neighbours and kids) • Invite, invite and over-invite. The rule is if you invite 30 guests, most likely 8-10 will attend • On page 5 and 6 in the Business Success Guide on the Resource DVD you will find a thought joggers list you can start with ‘’An average person knows approximately 600 people’’ What to say/how to invite? • “I’m a new business owner with Nature’s Sunshine and would love for you to host a herbal hour. Can I count you in?!” • “What topics are you interested in? We could focus on a specific topic for your herbal hour. ex.: food education/weight loss” Tips: • Get comfortable with face to face interaction • Always think ‘’networking’’, when you meet someone Here is a phone script for booking Herbal Hours: Hi _____________________, this is ____________________. ( visit for a bit, build rapport) The reason I am calling is I started a great new business with Nature’s Sunshine Products. Have you ever heard of Nature’s Sunshine before? YES – Great! What do you think of them? What supplements are you taking? NO – Well, Nature’s Sunshine Products are an array of vitamins, superfoods and herbal supplements; from targeted care to daily essentials and weight management solutions. I’m able to help people take charge of their health by taking preventative measures or supplementing an already healthy lifestyle with our products. I called to invite you to be one of my first hosts! Hosting has its benefits and you would receive anywhere from $50 to $100+ in FREE product based on your meeting’s results. You can choose the topic that interests you the most and what you think your family and friends would like to learn about. The meeting takes about an hour, and I promise it will be fun and informative! I will bring some samples that your guests can try that evening. You don’t have to do anything at all that night, just sit back and enjoy! Would you like to be one of my first hosts and earn some FREE product? YES – Wonderful! Which would work better for you; a weeknight or a weekend? Great! These are the dates I have available. Which one works for you? Wonderful! Usually people choose a 7 pm start time and the meeting usually lasts an hour. Then I would meet with everyone to review their body system questionnaire and answer their questions. I will drop off a package for you (or mail to them) that will provide you with some information and help you have a great event! If someone doesn’t want to host an Herbal Hour, ask for the 1-on-1 appointment which would take less than 30 minutes and you could do at their home or even at a coffee shop. The point is to talk to as many people as possible about the product and ask for referrals of people they know that you could speak to. Health is on everyone’s mind today. You have the tools to help them transform their health with Nature’s Sunshine, so don’t be shy to tell everyone what you are doing. Day of the Herbal Hour • Arrive early! This will give you the opportunity to setup and chat with your hostess. • Remove distractions (TV, Pets..) • Keep it Simple! You are much more duplicatable when you apply this process. Others will feel they can do what your doing. • Have a sign-in sheet for your guests. You will then have their contact information to follow-up and build a relationship with them. • Thank your hostess and let them know how you met/know the hostess. • Let everyone introduce themselves. Agenda The herbal hour should last 1.5-2 hours • Greet guests as they arrive and have them seated • Handout a ballot for a door prize • Thank the hostess for having a herbal hour • Introduce yourself and your why • Introduce the herbal hour topic • Distribute the Body System Questionnaire and Habit of Health • In closing, explain different programs: Business Associate; Preferred Customer & Sunshine Rewards Bookings are the lifeline of your business They could be done thru herbal hours or 1/1 appointments Bookings are your best qualified audience! Bookings means business • It’s not a herbal hour without a date. Set your date right away and give your hostess her hostess packet • Have options available! If you are new, schedule a few herbal hours to get you started. • Book at least 1 herbal hour from every different circle of influence • Host your own herbal hour. Invite friends and ask them to invite at least 1 person to attend with them • Ask for referrals. This will help you find new circles of influence • If someone is uncertain of hosting their own herbal hour, visit them and show them a few products • Make it a goal that from each herbal hour, you should book at least 2 future ones • Book your herbal hours close to one another in your calendar. Consistency is the key = regular pay! Booking Ideas • • • • • • • Hold your own herbal hour : hold one on a monthly basis and offer different topics each time! Post open dates for herbal hours on facebook/ social media Participate in a tradeshow (we held a webinar in regards to tradeshows in March. It’s recorded and online) Practice networking with other people Reach out to past hostesses (call them from the past 6 months) Ask everyone to host their own herbal hour. Never prejudge! Offer and let them decide Have fun at your herbal hours. When your guests will see how much fun hosting an herbal hour is, they might decide to join the business or host their own herbal hour again. Offer everyone without pre-juding! Your job is to offer • Fill out 50 names in 5 minutes. Do this activity on a quarterly basis/ updating your list is ONGOING and always go back to your original list • Business ready at all time:, catalogues, business cards, opportunity and hostess packets… • Be prepared to book them! Know and have your available dates Booking and Coaching • Booking appointments to share the product is the key to your business, while coaching helps to ensure that the appointments you book will hold How to Book: • Refer to the contact list you made earlier. Your first calls will be to people on that list • From your monthly schedule, determine the days you will choose to work by offering group presentations. Indicate all your available dates and mark them clearly in your calendar. Make sure your schedule fits your lifestyle, family commitments and other appointments. Make sure your presentation schedule is a priority • When your customer books an appointment with you, offer the opportunity for them to invite a few friends. Your appointment now becomes a group presentation Your calendar: have dates ready! • It’s important to know when your available to host herbal hours. If you would like to host 4 herbal hours a month, know ahead of time when these dates are • Herbal Hours should fit your lifestyle! Let’s says you have Yoga classes on Monday nights, you will not offer this date to potential hostesses. This business works around your life • For example, if you are available Tuesday afternoon’s & Thursday evenings circle in green the dates in your calendar. When you offer herbal hours, you can say: would you prefer to host during the day or in the evening? If the person says during day time, you would answer “Perfect! Here are my next available dates. Which one works best for you?” • Objection? “I have to check with my friends”… Your answer: “Let’s pencil in your date, since this is the one you really want. I will phone you in a couple of days, to give you a chance to connect with your guests. We can then confirm the date.” Your business, your way! Hostess coaching In order to have a successful herbal hour, connecting and building a relationship with your hostess is mandatory Tips to great hostess coaching • Being professional is important. Decide what dates you want to host herbal hours (you will be able to offer them right then and there) • Give her a hostess packet right away • Help your hostess with her guest list • Contact your hostess within 24 hours to thank her for booking a herbal hour, confirm the date and ask her to personally invite her guests (ex.: not a general facebook message) • Contact your hostess a few times before the herbal hour takes place (if taking place within next 30 days, connect 3 times) • Connect with her guests and introduce yourself the day before the herbal hour. It’s also a good time to encourage them to bring a friend. If they can’t attend, mention they can place an order online and would still be eligible for the guest reward • Following –up is important. After the herbal hour, connect with your hostess to ensure she is happy with her order • Discuss the business opportunity with her or ask her to book a future herbal hour Elements of a successful herbal hour • Order taking • 1/1 interaction with your guests • Practice your booking approach: your goal should be to book 2 future herbal hours.
