In celebration of the forth annual Patriots Weekend Event, the First Settlers Region of the Porsche
Club of America is offering an activity-packed weekend this September in the beautiful Virginia
Tidewater Area. This event offers Blue Angels air show with dinner to follow at Tautogs
restaurant, Concours and pig roast, Fun Run, Dinner Social, and Auto-X held against a backdrop
of the most historical landscape of our country. There is no doubt that these combined events will
provide a unique opportunity to share the passion and spirit of Porsche ownership as we honor
American Patriots since 9-11.
Day 1- Blue Angels Air Show
Oceana Air Base (Virginia Beach)
Friday, September 7, 2007
2:00 pm – 8 pm
The First Settlers Region of the Porsche Club of America is offering a unique opportunity to watch the
world famous Naval Aviation Flight Demonstration Team – the Blue Angels – perform their thrilling
stunts from front row seats. Following the air show, we proceed to Tautogs Restaurant by the beach for
dinner. This event will provide a unique opportunity to share the passion of precision Porsche engineering
and to meet some of the best precision flying pilots in the U.S. Navy. Not later than 2:00 pm we will
rendezvous at the NAS Oceana Security Pass and Tag office along the entrance road to NAS Oceana (just
off Oceana Blvd.) to allow for registration with base security and FSR. At precisely 2:15 we will caravan
into NAS Oceana with a security escort to designated VIP parking and proceed to the seating area the flight
line for the 3:00 pm start of the Blue Angel Air Show. After the Blue Angel demo, those that wish can
proceed to Tautog restaurant for dinner around 6:30; directions will be handed out at air show.
There is no charge for the air show event, just pay as you go for dinner, however, access through the security checkpoint onto the
base requires the names of the drivers and passengers, driver’s license numbers, description of the car, and license plate. All cars must
have current registration and state inspections. All adults bring a photo id. This information must be pre-arranged with security to
ensure a smooth process for getting onto the base and the flight line. The number of participants is also required to pre-arrange VIP

Day 2 – Concours – Campus of Ramada Inn 1776,
Williamsburg
Saturday, September 08, 2007
10:00 am – 2:30 pm
The FSR Concours will be held on the beautiful grounds of the Ramada Inn 1776 in
Williamsburg, Virginia. Selected for its gorgeous landscape, this location boasts 12
acres and offers the well-manicured turf desired by the most finicky Porsche
Concours-philes. The event will be a casual, top-only wash and shine competition
where the objective is to present the Porsche with the cleanest showroom
appearance. Prizes will be offered by class; an overall Best of Show will be selected
by People’s Choice. For convenience, we have reserved rooms at the Ramada for
our out-of-town guests who wish to stay in Williamsburg. Be sure to mention you
are with the Porsche Club to get room rates at $69.00 a night and also the newly renovated rooms. Please have room
reservations made by August 8,2007. A pig roast lunch will be offered on the Ramada grounds as part of the event.
Day 2 - Fun Run – Colonial Parkway, Colonial National
Historic Park
September 08, 2007
5:00 – 7:00 p.m.
Join a procession of high-performance Porsche sports cars during sunset on a
journey through Williamsburg to Jamestown. Enjoy scenery associated with
400 years of American colonial history as we parallel the James River, traverse
open vistas and tidal estuaries adjoining Jamestown. In recognition of the many
Americans who lost their lives on this the sixth anniversary of the attack on our
country on September 11, 2001, cars participating in the Fun Run will be given
small complimentary American flags to display during the journey.
Day 2 - Dinner Social –Williamsburg Lodge
September 08, 2007
7:00-8:30 p.m.
Those who participate in the Fun Run and elect to partake in fine dining at one of
the Williamsburg’s best-rated cuisines will proceed to the Williamsburg Inn and
enjoy a wonderful selection of fine Southern Cuisine in full view of all the
Porsches parked in a special lot outside the room that we will be dining in. The
dinner will be your choice of the entire menu of such items as Shrimp and grits,
Pan Roasted Catfish, Roasted Breast of Chicken, and many other wonderful
southern dishes to choice from. Dinner will be paid from menu prices and you
can choose what you would like to eat. Children’s prices available.
Day 3 - Auto-X – Little Creek ACU4
“In Flight”
September 9, 2007
Sunday 8:30am – 3:00pm
The third day of the FSR Patriots Weekend is dedicated to an exciting
mixed-class Auto-X, where Porsches and other sports cars will compete
for the quickest times on a closed-circuit road course. The location for
this event is Naval Amphibious Base Little Creek ACU4, located near
Virginia Beach and proclaimed the “most pristine piece of concrete on
God’s earth” – perfect for taking our cars to their limits! An adjoining
beach is available for those family members not directly participating in
the autocross. Notes: all participants will be asked to work course positions when their group is not running and clean

Directions to the Oceana Air Show
From the direction of Williamsburg take 64 to 264 in the direction of Virginia Beach,
Turn off 264 at Exit 21 A
(the sign for Oceana Air Base and South Colonial and Oceana Blvd.)
Proceed down Oceana Blvd. and after the stables turn right toward the main gate,
Turn right and park at the Security and Tag Office

Directions to Tautogs from the Air Show
Exit from the main Ocean Air Base Exit. Turn left at the light on Oceana Blvd. Proceed
to the 264 on ramp in the direction of Virginia Beach. Follow 264 until it ends on surface
streets. Stay in the second lane from the left, then turn left on Pacific Street. Turn right
on 23d Street. Tautogs is on your left at number 203 (Tel. 422-0081). You can either
park on the street in front, or there is limited parking up the alley between Tautogs and
the next building.
Directions to the Little Creek ACU-4 Auto-X
From Williamsburg/Newport News/Hampton: 1. Proceed east on I-64 to the
Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel. 2. From I-64 East, take Exit 282 onto
US-13/Northampton Blvd East. Go 3.9 miles. 3. Turn onto VA225/Independence Blvd. in the direction of Little Creek Base. Go 0.5
miles. The gate directly ahead is Gate 5. Enter Gate 5 stopping at the
gate to verify your name on the Access List. Proceed straight to Gator
Blvd. Turn left on Gator Blvd. to Helicopter Street. Turn right on
Helicopter Street. Follow that to the curve which becomes 11th Street.
Turn left onto 11th Street and go all the way to the ACU-4 Gate where a
guard should check you against the Access List one more time. Proceed
beyond the large building on the left and you will see a gate that
opens into the event area. Look for a place to park against the fence
or near the back of the hangar and look for Auto-X registration
officials to get your number and prepare for a tech inspection.
From Virginia Beach or Chesapeake. 1. Get off I-264 at Exit 17 onto US
225/Indepence Blvd North. Go 4 miles. 2. The gate directly ahead is
Gate 5. Follow from directions from Gate 5, above.
