Making Energy Efficiency Profitable in the US and Europe
A Transatlantic Perspective on Energy Efficiency Policy
On March 29th, the Johns Hopkins University DC center will host the "Making Energy
Efficiency Profitable in the US and Europe" conference, an event co-organized by the
French, German and British Embassies.
The first part of the conference aims at promoting a transatlantic dialogue on energy
efficiency with highlights on successful US and EU Energy Efficiency Policy Programs.
The second part will consider the impact of energy efficiency policy on the business
community with a focus on job creation.
Reducing energy consumption and eliminating energy wastage are among the main
goals of the European Union (EU). In addition to providing a European and
Transatlantic vision on cooperation and innovation, this conference will offer a unique
business perspective on the issue with the participation of key European and American
business leaders. The rest of the participants are drawn from a pool of government
