Course QS/3A (Manston Business Park - Acol) - Details
START in Manston Business Park on un-classified road Columbus Avenue on southbound carriageway at LP
CJH1039 approximately 100 yards before bus stop (TR313664). Proceed to 1 st RAB, continue straight on (1 exit only)
to 2nd RAB (Business Park RAB) (M) and take 1st exit SP B2190 Manston. Continue to Spitfire Corner where left (M)
onto B2050 SP Birchington. In approximately 1.25 miles turn left into Margate Hill (M) SP Acol. Turn left in Acol by
Crown & Sceptre PH (M), GREAT CARE! onto B2048 SP Minster & Ramsgate. Continue to next RAB at junction
B2048/B2190 (M), turn left onto B2190 SP Manston. At next RAB (Business Park RAB) (M) continue on B2190 and
complete another circuit as above.
At Business Park RAB turn left into Columbus Avenue, continue through next RAB (1 st exit) to FINISH on the
northbound carriageway directly opposite the start at RAB sign CJH 522 (TR13664).
THE ONUS IS ON THE RIDERS TO ENSURE THAT THEY FOLLOW THE CORRECT ROUTE AT THE END OF
THE FIRST LAP
Race Headquarters - Manston Village Hall, Preston Road, Manston, CT12 5BA.
To get to the start, turn left on leaving the Hall, right at the War Memorial (B2050), follow the B2050 for approximately 1 mile. Left at
staggered crossroads onto B2190, take 2nd exit at first RAB, 1st exit at 2nd RAB go past finish and circle RAB to Start. Total distance
approximately 2.5 miles.

IN THE INTERESTS OF YOUR OWN SAFETY,
Cycling Time Trials and the event promoters strongly advise you to wear a HARD SHELL HELMET
that meets an internationally accepted safety standard.
In accordance with Regulation 15, ALL JUNIOR AND JUVENILE competitors must wear Protective
Hard Shell Helmets.
It is recommended that a working rear light, either flashing or constant, is fitted to the machine in a
position visible to following road users and is active whilst the machine is in use.
Notes

New for 2017: Riders are required to sign on before collecting their number.
Riders are also required to sign off when handing in their number on returning to
the HQ.

Please keep the noise to a minimum to avoid unnecessary disturbance to the local
residents.

Turbo trainers or rollers are not to be used at or in the vicinity of the Headquarters.
Any rider that ignores this ruling will be subject to disqualification.

Riders risk disqualification if they perform U turns in the start and finish areas or
use these areas as a public toilet.

No warming up on the course once the event has started.

Numbers will be at HQ (and not the start) and may be exchanged for a drink after.

Please ensure that you pin your number on your lower back. If you pin it too
high on your back, the timekeeper may miss it and you could be shown as
DNF on the result board.

Where possible, teams are encouraged to wear clothing of a similar design
and colour.

Please do not wear shoe plates in the HQ.

A composite team is a team of 2 riders from different clubs. A mixed team is a
team comprising a male and female rider.

When you have completed your ride, please return to the HQ in single file so
that you do not impede those riders still competing.
