Life-cycle based training
Metso helps you to share our expertise
with your team
A knowledgeable and well-trained workforce is vital to ensure that operational skills
cover installation, operation, and maintenance. The result is better motivation and
higher productivity of the employees and better utilization of all the features of the
Metso Recycling equipment. This supports proper installation, start-up, operation,
and maintenance of equipment, as well as improved knowledge of productrelated safety and environmental issues. Training and continuous development
of expertise is still a fundamental part of the success of any organization.
Whatever your objectives, Metso Recycling Services is committed to
sharing our expertise with your operators and other plant personnel.

...improves employee performance in quality, quantity, speed, safety,
problem solving, attitude, and motivation. According to Ferdinand
Fournies (internationally known consultant, author and former teacher
at Columbia University’s School of Business), performance problems
occur because employees a) don’t know what they’re supposed to do,
b) don’t know how to do it, and/or c) don’t know why they should do
it. Targeted training is one solution for all three factors.
...enhances company profits. According to the American Society
for Training and Development, investment in employee training
enhances a company’s financial performance. An increase of $680
in a company’s training expenditures per employee generates, on
average, a 6 percent improvement in total shareholder return. Based
on the training investments of 575 companies during a three-year
period, researchers found that firms investing the most in training and
development yielded a shareholder return 45 percent higher than the
market average.
...saves labor by reducing duplication of effort, time spent on
problem solving, and time spent on correcting mistakes.
...saves money. Better workforce skills mean fewer machine
breakdowns, lower maintenance costs, lower staff turnover, lower
recruitment costs, fewer bad debts, fewer customer support calls,
fewer help desk calls, less need for supervision, reduced downtime,
and increased worker productivity.
