MODULAR, LOW PROFILE PEOPLEVEYOR SYSTEMS:
BETTER ERGONOMICS WITHOUT THE CIVIL WORK
People movers in automotive assembly plants synchronize associates with the main lines to improve employee
ergonomics, reduce takt time by 6-7 seconds per station, and increase associate morale. Intralox has partnered
with conveyor manufacturers to design modular, Low Profile PeopleVeyor™ Systems; a more flexible low-cost
solution to traditional people movers in automotive assembly plants. The Low Profile PeopleVeyor System can be
installed without any civil work, reducing installation costs and time, and can easily be moved to accommodate
layout changes.
The Low Profile PeopleVeyor System can
be built in approximately 19.6 ft x 31 in
(6 m x 800 mm) modular sections, allowing
for cost reductions, quick installation, and
a more flexible layout.

THE BELT
The patented Series 1000 Non Skid Raised Rib belt
surface was designed for Low Profile PeopleVeyor
Systems. When used with a finger transfer plate, the
Non Skid Raised Rib belt provides seamless transfers
for associates, eliminating the need for expensive safety
stops and associated downtime. The belt surface also
provides effective debris collection by preventing nuts
and bolts from getting caught beneath a dead plate
and damaging the belt.

THE CONVEYOR
The Low Profile PeopleVeyor System design was
optimized by select conveyor manufacturers to meet
the specific needs of automotive assembly lines,
such as quick installation, minimal maintenance,
and extended lifetime.

• Inboard motor eliminates trip hazards
• Load capacity of 1,102-1,543 lb (500-700 kg) on a
single station 19.6 ft (6 m) conveyor; approximately
five people per station
• Drive and ventilation system eliminates weekly
system maintenance
• Targeted 30-minute conveyor replacement time
